I am disappointed that DVD to the Stepfather did not include deleted scenes that were seen on TV. Some of these scenes included Stephanie investigating the burnt car her counselor was killed in

Susan walking to the basement to ask Jerry why he didn't want to talk to Stephanie's counselor- before Jerry killed him

Jim Ogilvie was in bed with that lady from the clerk's office (Annie)

at the very end Susan is in the kitchen when she hears a chainsaw. My Bloody Valentine (1981) and Halloween 2 included scenes from the TV version. In fact a lot of the older films have done that but not The Stepfather. I heard a rumor that shout entertainment wanted to but could not locate these scenes but I can not confirm this. I lobe The Stepfather. Creepy film! just wish the deleted scenes would had been added if possible.

What always stood out to me about Jerry's over-zealousness with family values is the utter devastation it causes when we cling to righteousness too tightly. Who wants to live in a world without debauchery?

The Stepfather blew me away, man. Made my creepy stepfather seem kind of average. That scene where Jerry meets the psychologist at the house, the whole cat and mouse build up to the bludgeoning. Ouch, what a gorgeous four minutes of movie that was. Who hasn't stepped from one room to the next and wondered aloud, "Wait, wait, who am I here?"

Does anyone else love horror movies like I do? I came across a trailer for a new film that looks pretty scary and is based off the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty. The trailer looks really scary, check it out http://humptydumptymovie.com/
