You would think whoever is in charge of such a space program would have seen that every single movie about space travel ever made makes it a point to show how deep space makes people go nutty. I mean is requiring a person to be completely alone for 8 month (or however long) such a good idea? That is just asking for the astronaut to experience some kind of out-of-body experience where they see a duplicate of themselves having sex with a deceased spouse tricked by the imagined manifestation of their child only to be killed by the space/sun-crazed captain of another ship! We are talking Space Craziness 101 here.
