I almost had the pleasure of watching The Landlord a little while back. It's a well written piece. The performances were better than expected and the chemistry between the male demon and the protagonist was almost danceable (The guy who played the protagonist just needed a little bit less rigidity). The twists are endearing and the broader world that it hints at is compelling.

But there were two glaring fatal flaws. 1, poor lighting/not enough lighting. Made it often look flat and like a home movie shot with an expensive camera. 2. Atrocious horrible blaringly bad sound. There are a lot of things that maybe could have been done to capture better sound, but it was just terrible. Unlistenable. And I had to force myself through it. Six months later, I tried to watch it again while totally sauced and I almost put my foot through the television from how bad the sound was.

I like the fact that you review indie horror that the every day joe wouldn't give a second glance to. Even if it's a terrible film.

If I wanted to read a "popular movies r us" blog I'd go on IGN. This is my favorite horror blog for the very reasons that I discover things I would not have otherwise seen. I love you for that. Keep it up please.

I wonder how much of the budget went towards that sweet-ass cover/poster art.

By the way, I love how you've taken my complaints...er...suggestions to heart. This shit isn't even on Netflix.

You should buy me a copy of THE LANDLORD just to say your sorry.
