"sorry, Chris."

I accept your apology for raping my childhood memories with the cold penis of brutal logic. /peter

I was pretty shocked to read (as a consequence of this discussion, of course) that the show was revivied in '99. With Elisha Cuthbert, no less! Craziness. I'm guessing they kinda sucked?

What cracks me up is that none of this discussion went on while the site was titled, "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this website HorrorsNotDead.com"

i was always curious about the airdates of two episodes. i'm 99% sure that "Twisted Claw" aired before any of the others. as part of some Halloween special before the show was even announced as a series.

but "Phantom Cab" is always listed as the first episode.

i took this issue to the IMDb boards once. i'm going to have to go back and check on the response because i don't remember what the conclusion was.

as for other episodes, i don't know. the only thing i can say is that i doubt it because the show only ran on Nickelodeon and was not in syndication that i know of. and in cable, they don't change things up like that. it's a national program. especially when the company that produces the show is the one that distributes/airs it.

sorry, Chris.

Peter - me too. here's the scene that unfolded yesterday when my girlfriend entered the room while i was posting a comment...

GF: What are you doing? (pause) Oh... Nerdville.com.

ME: Yep!

GF: (looks over my shoulder for a moment)Stop it.

ME: I can't decide what I love more... that this is an article about a massive Horror Box Office research and fact-finding project, or that the comment section has completely derailed into an Are You Afraid of the Dark nostalgia-fest.

GF: Let me guess, most of the comments are from you?

ME: Yep.

GF: (shaking her head in disgust, walking away) Jesus.

Wow, I'm that far off? At the risk of sounding like I'm trying to protect my pride or something, I'm actually wondering if they aired differently where I am, because I was 99% sure the Nosferatu one was first.

At this point I guess it's a foregone conclusion that I have to go buy these and watch them again, though the whole experience will completely freak me out, I'm sure.
