Yeah, if I hadn't known the logic of the ending, I'd have been in a WTF state. That said, clear something up for me. Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't seen/read MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN:

It's been years since I read the original story, but weren't the mutants in it classier? Weren't they an organized civilization living underground that the rest of the world just didn't know about? Or did I just wish they were?

In the movie they look like unintelligent demons with an anti-evolutionary gnarl of pointless needle teeth. I'd of loved the movie a lot more if the creatures under the earth seemed capable of organizing the meat train and their secret hold over mankind. Instead they just looked like monsters-of-the-week that stumbled off the 7 year old set of "Buffy".

Peter i did enjoy and was openly and in a nanoseconds increment celebrating that bloodletting scene watching the dangling face in the blood as a flash of genius. to be completly honest since i dont have a 60 inch Godlike tv to watch movies it didnt look as bad as i suspect it did on yours. If thats any consolation lol. My biggest disappointment and i still really like it,One blonde womans eye blinking sans a body was just lovely, was the terrible terrible ending. With Steph sitting beside me saying what just happened. I dont understand. If i hadnt have read the story i wouldnt have been able to explain anything that was not nonsensical as much so as could possibly be anyway i mean it is clive barker. i suspect he and i would get on quite well however. I love how his beasts always get fed.

Brian, quick, you're a lawyer, trademark that for me.

Sean, if I recall correctly Comcast owns FEARnet, but I believe they license it to other cable carriers as well. No satellite, though. You may dig the movie more than I did. I didn't hate it by any means, but yeah, it wouldn't have been worth a trek to an outskirt theater, me thinks.

Matt, hah, at least someone got the reference. Don't worry, Kitamura's work here is far less goofy Matrix ripoff.

My interest faded when the Gamecube Metal Gear Solid connection was brought up...

But hell, Oct 30th, a free viewing. I can't miss out on that...

Is fearNET only available for comcast people?

And, this sucks, I scoured the listings for a theatre that played this and was totally bummed because I couldn't find it. Kind of sad to find out it apparently wasn't worth all that effort.
