Last Week in Horror: June 6th to the 13th

Last Week in Horror was the slowest week of the year.  Very little happenings and what was worth mentioning is vague on the details.  Joss Whedon teams back up with Drew Goddard for a ‘cabin in the woods’ genre flick called, well, CABIN IN THE WOODS.  Other than that, no real news to speak of.  Sorry.

Seriously, what a pointless week.

• QUARANTINE – Spoiler filled full trailer.
• LOST BOYS 2 – Another trailer.  Does it count as theatrical if it plays once in one theater?

Studio News and Attachments

• MGM throws some cash to Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard to make a vague flick called CABIN IN THE WOODS.  MGM had me at Whedon.
• AMUSEMENT bumped to an undisclosed “holiday date”, but does receive an R rating.
• The original team behind TREMORS have a new monster movie in place called NIGHT CREW.

• Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN gets a Three Disc ‘collector’s edition, but NIGHT OF THE CREEPS still has no legal release.  No justice in this world.
• PULSE 2 stars Jamie Bamber?  Wtfux?
• More eco-terror (told ya it was coming) called THE COLONY, this time from a guy who was on not one, but two seasons of “SURVIVOR”.  I saw both seasons.
