Last Week in Horror: June 15th to the 22nd
Last Week in Horror the only important thing that occured was the untimely passing of Stan Winston. I recommend all fans head over and read Ain’t it Cool’s tribute to the man, which features write-ins from the artists’ friends, who range from James Cameron to Greg Nicotero to Alan Scott to Rick Baker to Fred Dekker.

- Although no one contacted him about it, Tom Jane wants the title role in undead comic adaptation HEX. So he had a friend scar him up, take some pictures and send them unsolicited to Warner Brothers. Further evidence as to why I love Tom Jane. He cosplays.
- Victor Salva, of all folk, spills that he and Del Howison have been pitching a TV horror anthology called, of course, Dark Delicacies that would be hosted Hitchcock style by Clive Barker.
- KFC brings out their lawyers to stop THE KENTUCKY FRIEND HORROR SHOW.
- Nick Wechsler does the obvious thing and options THROTTLE, the novella written by Joe Hill and Stephen King that won’t even be published until 2009.
- On June 25th Spain gets an extensive, English language friendly DVD set that dives deep into the three short films of Nacho Cerda. One of those is AFTERMATH, a masterpiece in my book. If you’ve got a region free player, it’ll run you about $22 before shipping.

i don’t know what the fuck “cosplays” means, but i, too, love tom jane.
seriously.
that guy is awesome.
PUNISHER 2 will suck balls without him. no matter how good Dominic West is as Jigsaw.
oh, and yes, Tom Jane is PERFECT for the role of Jonah Hex.
He looks uncannily like Nathan Fillion in the picture, I think.
. cosplay
Literally “Costume Play.” Dressing up and pretending to be a fictional character (usually a sci-fi, comic book, or anime character).
Just dont google it.
I like the idea of Tom Jane doing that, though.
I’m really meh about the remakes.
