Horror's Not Dead

"Can't even shout, Can't even cry, the Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, Knocking on doors, They need to take seven and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, Can't say a word, You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard."
-- Hush, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

Last Week In Horror: 3/16 - 3/23

An odd barrel of news this week.  Of most interest to my person is the release date for Alexandre Aja’s next.  Then we’ve got Regal Cinemas bringing back red band trailers to all of its theaters.   Benecio gets some official Wolfey snaps.  And in my news travels I came across this, a poster that may just top COLIC.  Jesus.

Theatrical Trailers and Clips

REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA - Trailer
THE RUINS - Another Clip
TRAIN - AKA, TERROR TRAIN remake promo
THE HAPPENING - International Trailer

Studio News and Attachments
NBC fronted a pilot for a reality competition on Special Effects?
David Eick is writing a pilot for what could be a fascinating TV series of CHILDREN OF MEN.

Remakes

Michael Bailey Smith (Pluto in the HILLS remake) tells Fango he is up for the Jason role in FRIDAY THE 13TH.
FRIDAY does get its official leading teenish hero; Jared Padalecki.
Still lacking those pesky haters known as writers and directors, MOTEL HELL will no longer be coming out this Halloween.
Alexandre Aja’s Korean remake MIRRORS gets August 15th.
Terrific official stills of THE WOLFMAN.

Random and Indie News
A few paltry details on the Romero produced anthology DEADTIME STORIES.
Fred Dekker says THE MONSTER SQUAD may get a Blu-Ray release!
Regal Cinemas will start to air red band trailers again!  Too bad I never go to Regal.

Indie/Foreign Trailers and Clips
BLACK DEVIL DOLL - Trailer
PROM NIGHT  - Clip
EYE OF THE BEAST - Trailer
