Lake Placid 2 DVD Cover Art is Pathetic

Lake Placid 2 Cover Art - Taiwanese vet's hand

Pictured on the right is the tremendous photograph of the dismembered hand of Taiwanese veterinarian Chang Po-Yu, who lost his limb while attempting to remove a tranquilizer dart from, unbeknownst to Chang, a not so tranquilized crocodile in April of 2007.

Pictured on the left is a tragedy

While one of National Geographic’s most viewed photos of the year, the image is not famous enough to qualify the DVD cover art disaster as satire.  This is none other than a failed attempt at being edgy [or, sadly and more accurately, it is a successful attempt, as this post would not exist otherwise].  Fortunately, while Chang had his left hand successfully reattached and can return to an able-bodied life, Lake Placid 2 will forever be an immature pledge at the greasy frat house where worthless ideas lay their acne-marked heads.

Is Lake Placid 2 the most disgraceful, immature film ever made?  I submit that mayhaps it is.

Why do I have a feeling that Uwe Boll is now pissed that someone stole his idea for the cover of his version of Metroid?
