Weekly News Re-Cap: 06/10 – 06/17

Sorry this is a day late, I was nerding it up at a LAN this past weekend.  The BattleGrounds, whose makers rightfully boast as being the only Revolutionary War mod for Half Life 1 & 2, is pretty much the greatest gaming experience ever gifted upon the world.  Seriously.  Seconds that feel like minutes to reload your musket….bayonets at the ready….man versus man in a circle dance of time; dodging lethal blade thrusts while you stuff black powder down the barrel of a musket is in-fucking-tense.

Don’t even get me started on Pirates, Vikings and Knights II.  Who knew those three had such a riotous rivalry to keep hold of treasure chests and watch towers?!

Grizzly Park – I’m sold, even if the music steals from Pan’s Labyrinth blatantly.
