Liked the movie, liked a lot of the music. just wish these horror-flicks would do more on creating the soundtracks on CD or downloadable MP3 files like on iTunes, CDBaby, etc. for purchase.

I always hear some great instrumentals and eerie as Hell tunes in these movies, only to find there is no soundtrack or the music/song isn’t available. :(

These folks need to make their music available!

Can you just imagine sitting in a darkened room, no lights from anywhere and listening to some of this music. I’d bet it could be a very unnerving experience at times.

I got bored 45 minutes in, probably because I’d fallen for all the hype about the Afterdark Horrorfest movies being ‘too shocking for wide release’ or whatever. So my expectationes were cranked pretty high.

I’ll have to give it another shot.

hated pretty much all of the ones i’ve seen with the exception of HOOD OF HORROR (which technically doesn’t count, or does it?). couldn’t stand GRAVEDANCERS or PENNY DREADFUL… though GRAVEDANCERS definitely had some redeeming qualities here and there, unlike PENNY which was just out-and-out garbage.

won’t go near DARK RIDE.

anxious to give UNREST another chance and definitely excited to take a look at THE ABANDONED.

I liked UNREST, but the characters was all over the place- they seemed completely unworried about all the murdered people turning up in the med school!, and then did the exact opposite! The finale in the Formlin tank was stupid- they would’ve been dead in seconds, as formalin is lethally poisonous (not to mention carcinogenic). As a whole, it was a guilty pleasure. My favourite After Dark flick so far is THE HAMILTONS…

The Gravedancers is alright, but the real winner of the lot is The Abandoned. The rest I haven't seen, but also haven't heard anything too good about.

Yeah, I keep wanting to watch ALTERED again. the more i think about it, the more i like it.

speaking of which, i was reading some random blog the other day and this dude was talking about directors’ “sophomore slumps”… and he used ALTERED as an example.

and then admitted that he hadn’t actually seen the film.

man.

You should, man. I’ve got a ton of respect for what was done with this material. Whole thing just clicked with me, which is rare for me these days.

It was the opener for my Friday the 13th marathon. Followed it up with Altered – I like to ‘program’ things I know no one else has seen – fuck! I forgot how just plain cool that movie is; mutha worked me over fierce the second time around. I dig the hell out of that flick.
