Last Week in Posters - The Girl Next Door to Lake Dead to More Reaping

March 25th 2007 @ 11:02 am

This was just a plain boring week in posters.  I like the vibe of the Girl Next Door poster, which is an adaptation of a Jack Ketchum novel.  Past that, though, there really isn’t anything going on.  The Lake Dead poster in the compilation above is cool, but who knows about the actual movie.

That Next poster is far too late ’90s VHS cover for its own good.  Plus, that giant bust of Nicholas Cage’s face completely ruins a poster that would have sped across the internet had it simply been Jessica Biel’s bust.

There are more Reaping posters available here.  All of these reek of poor Photoshop jobs.  I’ve no motivation to look into who is handling the marketing for the film, but my money is on someone’s nephew having done those posters.

Stale work, the lot of ‘em.

I have to agree about the Next poster. Biel in all her hotness should of been the selling point for this movie. Too bad they made Cage’s ugly mug ten times larger than the others.

I do like the post for The Girl Next Door, but whenever I read that title, I think of the Elisha Cuthbert movie.

I like how on every single one of The Reaping posters, the release date keeps getting pushed further and further back. That’s why when you’re not sure of a release date, just put “Coming Soon”.

Yes, but was it any good? Thing on the poster looks like a version of Little Big Planet that I’d actually play.
