Horror’s Not Dead … In the Middle East!

March 25th 2007 @ 12:38 pm

Actually, it probably is considering I can’t name a single Middle Eastern horror film that isn’t a handmade video on YouTube.  By Horror’s Not Dead I simply mean me.  In the Middle East.  Hopefully that sentence will still ring true: Peter’s Not Dead .. In the Middle East!

I will be traveling to Jordan for work this Tuesday, for about a week or two.  Eight months ago I would never have been able to conjure a scenario that would find me in the Mid E-Z - as we in the know call it - but I fathom stranger things have indeed happened.  I’ve scheduled some reviews to be posted in absentia, but be don’t be fooled for I may or may not be alive at the time.

I’ll be bringing my laptop with me, however, and will try to pop in when not exhausted from dodging shrapnel or waking from the fetal position in a cold sweat nightly.

Peter will finally have an IMDB record when he and I star in our ME beheading video. Nah, we’ll be fine Peter. Just because it shares a border with Iraq, Syria, and Israel doesn’t automatically mean it’s dangerous right? Or because they told us to very our daily schedules, not to “dress American”, don’t go out by yourself, don’t show the bottoms of your feet to anyone, don’t touch anyone, don’t look at anyone, don’t drink the water…. I know I’m forgetting something but I figure if we don’t do ANYTHING while we’re there we’ll be safe. :)

Jordan? How interesting. I didn’t even know CIA agents liked horror movies.

See ya in a few weeks then. Enjoy the trip.

Please do not die. That would completely ruin whatever day I happened to find that out.

Yes, but was it any good? Thing on the poster looks like a version of Little Big Planet that I’d actually play.
