Happy Friday the 13th!

Posted by Peter Hall - April 13th 2007 @ 11:17 am

The best kind of Friday!

What’s on your slate for today?  Were you to appear at our house – which from now on might as well be referred to as the house – you’d find yourself with a 3 movie minimum of Unrest, Altered and a third, yet to be determined, film.  Perhaps something to do with zombies on a plane or a dirty bomb in LA or office workers killed in the woods or some other wilderness or some Lovecraft or a woman faced with her doppleganger in Russia or some states that have been altered.

Who knows, maybe it’ll be all of them!

Now if only FedEx would get my new speakers delivered before people start to show up…

    sounds like fun.

too bad i have to work. bosses wouldn’t believe me when i said that friday the 13th was a “religious holiday” for me.

looks like i’m watching the antics of one Mr. Jason Voorhees in the dubious comfort of my cubicle today.

Oh, man. It’s pretty scary over here. We’re dealing with the chilling spectacle that is… The Teething.

    Nah, nothing special here.

(What, no linky to the new speakers? C’mon, we know you want us to know.)

I took off work to wait for FedEx to get their asses over here and I know they won’t show until fucking 8 at night.

I’m waiting on the Intimus 532 Cinema HD 5.1 set from Aperion (these) to go with the recently acquired Onkyo TXSR674 (which came early in the week from crutchfield, though they no longer list it) and a Logitech 880 remote (I’m in love with this thing) – all pumped out to a Pioneer PDP5070HD.

Thank you trip to Jordan for paying off my credit cards!

It’s cool Peter, you missed nothing here at work. VERY slow. I just placed an order for the same receiver and remote this morning. Great deal on a multi port HDMI box w/1080p pass through. I’ll be at “the house” in a few hours.

You’ll probably get here before the speakers do.

FedEx is now my sworn enemy. Always late and the last time I had a big order from them they left a 200 lb piece of workout equipment sitting in the driveway without even coming to the door for a signature.

Very cool… Just be sure that if you’re sending the 360 through that Onkyo via the HDMI conversion (one feature I really wish I had), that you calibrate the lag timings in GHII.

We don’t want you failing songs for no reason now, do we? ;)

I’ll have to remember that. I fiddled with the lag timing when I first set up, which I then realized I didn’t actually need it, but that was before the receiver.

Dear God, do you really have thousands of dollars worth of home entertainment electronics? Cray zay.

It sounds like a lot when you put it like that, but yes. I pimped the hell out of this basement. Had I purchased everything at a brick store, it would have cost thousands more. Gogo online retailers!

I feel saddened at the lack of super speakers that my house has, or HD tv, etc.

    Ah well.

Going to be watching Killer Klowns From Outer Space, Fragile (thanks to you) and maybe one of my hundred old movies that I never got around to watching, out of these collections (http://tinyurl.com/37wrc3 and http://tinyurl.com/3939vt)

Happy Friday the 13th, I’ll probably end up watching Jason. :P

You’ll have to let me know if any of those end up being any decent, I always pick up the packages, but always end up putting them down.

Hope you like Fragile, it’s got issues, but it’s better than you’d probably expect once you stick it out.

Oh, kick ass. Sean, you appear to be the proud owner of Beast of Yucca Flats.

Penny Dreadful screened that on her show… Great, in a terrible kind of way.
