I love this site. I recently discovered it and love that recent trailers are posted here so that I can look forward to new films. I visit other horror sites that just brush on dead silence and 1408 but have every other story about rob zombies remake of halloween. I get it, it's cool, but I am bored already with it and am glad to have gotten a burst of fresh air through this site. Thanks Peter. I shall visit again.

Even after your review for The Descent I still check this site every couple days. Kudos for that.

I would also like to see some reviews of older movies, if only b/c I find it much more interesting to read a review of a movie I've already seen. I have no way of watching many of the smaller films you review unless I want to buy the DVDs off of Amazon. Well, I guess I could sign up for that new-fangled Netflix thing.

- TheDecentSuperfan (not really...but I did think it was dang good)

Thank you, thank you. And thank you on the criticism/suggestion front. Laziness is my biggest problem. But it's good to know people actually are interested in the DVD guides and more retrospective reviews.

I also want to put more of a focus on foreign films. I used to watch some 4 or 5 Korean films a month (not just horror), but now I'm lucky if I watch one every 3 months.

I do have some more editorial stuff planed, that I should get off my ass and do. It's a pretty unique project, so I've been looking forward to it, but again...the laziness.

As for your site, Andy, just let me know. I do want to get into more cross-blog relationships.

I agree. Do more reviews of older titles. A weekly recap is enough (leave the SCOOP! type stuff to the other sites). What sets your site apart is the intimacy; the personality.

Even when i disagree strongly with your opinion of a film (which is pretty rare. Most of the time i only disagree slightly), i still appreciate the style and voice of your reviews.

It would be nice to maybe see some thematic retrospectives, lists, polls, guest reviews, etc.

i also like the idea of the VHS giveaway contest thing... do that again. maybe involve some trivia this time around.

i'll be starting up my own site pretty soon here and would love to coordinate some kind of back-and-forth if you're at all interested. nothing exclusive. just a fling sort of relationship. a casual "friends with benefits" kinda thing.

that was metaphor, by the way.

anway, CONGRATULATIONS! the first year is easy, i've been told, now you just have to keep your baby from being kidnapped and sold on the blackmarket, hit by a bus, killed by polio, etc. and then what? THE TERRIBLE TWOS! good luck with that, pal.

really though, good job.

Hippy Barthday, HND!

The DVD release gudes <strike>are</strike> were great. However, when I find out that the Texas Chainsaw Remake Sequel has been released on DVD via TV commercial instead of a fine website such as this, it concerns me a bit.

I'd like to see more retro-reviews. "What does Peter think of Maniac?" is a passing thought I have every now and then. "Does he agree with me or did he find the hidden genius embedded within?"

TCM's Underground + a DVR could get you started there. (Should be required viewing for everyone anyways.) Watch Zombie all the way through for once. Tell us about it.

Remember, I'm now living vicariously through you, as I don't have time to watch anything, let alone write my silly little reviews anymore... at least for the next few months.

Weekly recaps are enough. If something important happens between, you make a separate post for it anyways.

Most of the things you do work quite well, they could just be more consistent. (Hey, you asked.)

Looking forward to year 2!
