Horror's Not Dead

Horror's Not Dead

"The Living Dead and the dying living are all the same. Cut from the same cloth. But disposing of dead people is a public service, whereas you're in all sorts of trouble if you kill someone while they're still alive. "

Trailers: The Host

Trailers: The Host

May 25th 2006 @ 12:35 pm

I’ve been reading and checking out pictures of The Host for what seems like months now, but haven’t seen any footage of it until today.  And all my hopes have been confirmed.  (trailer link at bottom, as always)

This morning Twitch posted links to the streaming versions of the teaser/featurette, which don’t stream all that well, so then the fine gentlemen at the KFC Forums ripped and uploaded downloadable versions to some hosting sites.  But since waiting for Megaupload’s download to start is boring, I’ve gone ahead and just upped the badboy myself.

The first bit of footage is the subbed teaser, followed by Bong Joon-Ho (who directed the great, great Memories of Murder) introducing some seperate clips.  So unless you speak Korean, you can jog forward a bit for the money shots.

And in case you can’t tell from the above poster for the Cannes Film Festival, it’s all kinds of monster-eating-people goodness.

Also, unless you happen to either live in Korea or are at Cannes right now, you’ll be able to see The Host in late 2006, thanks to Magnolia Pictures picking up the English Language rights.
