UPDATED Trailers: Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

June 6th 2006 @ 7:23 pm

Well, that didn’t take long.  It was attached to prints of the infallibly mediocre Omen remake as a lure for fans, but of course it’s turned up online today.  You can view it in the HD format right now, or you can wait until what appears to be 10pm-4am to watch it in regular ‘ole Quicktime.  Weird ploy, but oh well.

The film looks almost identical to its predecessor, which means to say it’s gritty as hell with overly saturated cinematography.  But, even without a revolutionary style, it still looks damned intense.  The man gets a lot of crap but Michael Bay knows how to deliver adrenaline, and it looks like his production company is getting the hang of this here horror biz.

October 6th is the date.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning Quicktime Trailer site (10pm-4am?)

Update: I went ahead and uploaded the 480p HD trailer to the site, since Apple took it down.  HD links should work now.

[...] Peter’s got the trailer for the new Texas Chainsaw movie over at his site, so go check it out. I personally don’t really understand “The Beginning” part, as from what I can tell, the events in this one could have happened just a week before the last. Everyone looks the same age, all the same characters… Anyways, I’m looking forward to the October release. [...]

Yes, but was it any good? Thing on the poster looks like a version of Little Big Planet that I’d actually play.
