I only played the first Silent Hill years ago, and not full through, so I’m not sure how much of a screen adaptation this is, but the trailer for Christophe Gans’ (Brotherhood of the Wolf) film is up and it looks like the best video game film yet. Gans’ has done what others have failed and has kept the visual style that was so defining of the early Playstation survival horror genre and put it on the big screen and in a big way. The lurking ceiling shots, the sidescroll, the hidden angles. It looks intense. Bravo.
