I like Rob Zombie.  I like his music, and for the most part, I like his two films.  But what I love about the man is his passion for and knowledge of the genre.  If you’ve ever seen him on other clip shows talking about horror, he’s just the kind of guy you want to listen to.

Which makes this news kick all kinds of ass.  Starting in Oct., Rob will be host of  TCM Underground, which is exactly the kind of show you’re thinking it is.  Uncut, commercial free, cult horror on the fantastic TCM, a channel pretty much anyone with cable gets.

Don’t expect some hardcore gorefests, but with initial launches of The Crazies (a very decent, early George Romero flick, which Brad Anderson is actually remaking right now), Dementia 13, Tokyo Drifter, and Bride of the Monster, you know it’ll be good watching.  Here’s to hoping it stays around for a while.
