One of my favorites of the last few years, THE HILLS HAVE EYES '06 show what can be done with a remake if said remake is in capable hands. Aja kicked my ass with this one -- and, like you said in your review, the trailer invasion scene was one of the most brutal things I've seen in a long, long time. I bit my nails until they bled during this film, especially during this particular scene, and my wife was actually *crying* when it was over.

Nervewracking stuff. A shame it was followed up with such a horrendous sequel (I barely got through the first 30 minutes before I turned that one off).

I can't wait to see what Aja does next . . . .

[...] I’m really considering going to see the new Hills Have Eyes remake after reading this review and its followup. But, just like I did with the Devil’s Rejects, I’ll most likely end up waiting for the DVD. Either way, I’ll be keeping an eye on that website, it’s pretty interesting.
Hey, thanks for the good feedback. You've got a pretty kickass site yourself with some very solid reviews (love the orginization of it all, as well). As for Hills, you should definitely check it out. I caught it for a second time last night and loved it even more than the first.

Hey there, followed your link over from the comment you made on the Cinematical review of Hills. That review was interesting, but yours really makes me want to crawl out of my cave and get to a theater.

Gonna go back and read through more of your reviews. Looks like I've got another RSS feed to monitor. Thanks!
