HND First Ever VHS Giveaway!

HND First Ever VHS Giveaway!

Yeah, that’s right.  Other, more profitable sites, can giveaway those dangfangled Digital Versatile Discs of the latest Hollywood attempts at horror, but can they giveaway the good stuff?

As far as I’m concerned, nothing beats a good ole VHS clamshell case like you’d get from a video store.  And it just so happens that my friend Beau owns a video store and his back inventory is full of bizarre VHS tapes you’ve never even heard of.

Just look at that picture.  Strange but True Football Stories hosted by Vincent Price?  Are other sites giving away anything that cool?  Have they ever even shown you a picture that cool?  I submit that they have not.

Well, sadly, I am not giving away the store’s only copy of Strange but True Football Stories hosted by Vincent Price, but I am going to offer up one other random, equally bizarre, equally campy flick with badass cover work.  I’m not just giving away VHS movies, I’m giving away art.  Nothing says, "I’m cooler than you" than a bulky, clamshell copy of C.H.U.D.

To enter, and win, all you have to do is send an email to peter @ horrorsnotdead.com with the subject "VHS Giveaway".  Include your name, address etc etc - and just for kicks - what is the silliest VHS horror movie you’ve ever seen on a rental shelf.  I’ll chose the winner randomly and I’ll search the store for an awesome movie (or, if you have a request, I can try and find that as well, but that takes away the surprise).

The deadline is this upcoming Sunday at 12am EST.  I expect only a handful of people to actually enter, so your chances of winning are pretty good.

Just look at Vincent Price holding that football like it is lion about to attack him and know you need to enter this contest:
