BD Scores After Dark Horrorfest Roster

BD Scores After Dark Horrorfest Roster

The current issue of Fangoria had an interesting two page ad in it.  I’d say 90% of it was black, with the sparce copy/logo there is refering to the After Dark Horrorfest, an 8 film run of horror in theaters across the US and the website horrorfestonline.com

If you go to the site, the films still aren’t listed and the only info is that they’ll be playing in 500 theaters across the US, in a total of 35 cities.  Well, Bloody-Disgusting got wind of the actual films in the "fest" and the cities they’ll be playing in (something you’d expect from the site itself).  There are actually some pretty good looking films in this list, so I’ll be definitely checking out one or two, but don’t be surprised if this changes since the official site still says 8 films and there are 9 below:

Penny Dreadful (not to be confused with Penny Dreadful’s Shilling Shockers)
The Unrest
Sisters
The Gravedancers
Wicked Little Thing (aka The Children)
Dark Ride
Infection
Reincarnation
The Abandoned

I’ve been wanting to see The Gravedancers and The Abandoned (which I mentioned as getting good buzz out of Toronto), so as far as I’m concerned everything else is just a bonus.  Though I am a little confused as to why Infection is on there.  It’s not very good and you can go to Best Buy and buy right now, or even catch it on Starz On Demand.  Speaking of it…anyone want to win a copy of Infection I got as a regretable blind buy?

Read on for the list of cities:

1 New York
2 Los Angeles
3 Chicago
4 Philadelphia
5 Boston ( Manchester )
6 San Francisco-Oak-San Jose
7 Dallas-Ft. Worth
8 Washington , DC (Hagrstwn)

10 Houston
11 Detroit
12 Tampa-St. Pete ( Sarasota )

Manchester is way on the wrong side of Boston for me to get anywhere near that. Gonna have to try extra hard to get to next weekend’s RI Festival instead.

    What an odd coincidence…

The RI Festival claims to be showing this Penny Dreadful, directed by Bryan Norton. Same name, different film.

    Three Penny Dreadfuls? ;)
